Renormalizing Actor-Inference Mesh

// RAIM: the base map.

Everything I write (the analyses, the stories, the action guidelines) comes from the same place. RAIM is that place: an architecture built from what we actually know, without slipping anything inexplicable along the way. This is the structure that holds everything together.

// The idea

A simple idea, taken to the end.

Most theories about the mind, relationships, or society start halfway: they take for granted that things like the “soul”, “duty”, or “willpower” exist and build everything from there. RAIM does the opposite: it starts in the basement (in the purest physics and in the biology of the body trying to anticipate what's coming) and does not accept any piece that cannot be traced back to that root.

From that foundation we raise the rest, step by step, without leaps of faith. This doesn't give you commandments; it shows you the inertia of things. If you choose a path, these are the logical consequences. The final decision happens in you.

The universe does not have a written purpose. It only has physical laws and thermodynamics.
// The rules I don't negotiate

What separates an honest map from a trick.

Three restrictions hold this entire map together. Showing them from the start is the only thing that differentiates an honest proposal from an ideological trap.

01

Zero magic

If an explanation needs a miracle halfway to hold up, it is useless and gets left out.

02

Zero sacred duties

There are no mandates that come out of nowhere. There are only causes and effects that you have to assume or avoid.

03

Clear rules of engagement

We declare the starting points upfront. And ideas are updated as we learn; we don't build temples to worship concepts.

// Two readings

The same structure, two angles.

No detours. First, how the world stacks up from the bottom up. Second, how you experience that structure in first person, from the point where you decide your actions.

View 1: From substrate to creation (How the world is)

Each floor is supported by the previous one. Nothing floats in the air.

View 2: From your own experience (How you live it)

You are not a disembodied cloud; you are situated halfway, deciding what to do with what you have.

// The stack

From the bottom up.

Each level of this map inherits the physical limits of the one below it and adds a new capacity for action. None skip the ground. As you move up, you gain options and freedom of action, but the energy cost increases.

L0Substrate
The physical universe running second by second. A board subjected to thermodynamics, without divine purposes or logical shortcuts: the cosmos cannot be simulated faster than it already runs. From this base level we inherit three immutable rules: the advance of time, the physical speed limit, and the energy cost that every movement demands.
L1Emergent Structures
Matter that organizes itself and creates a boundary so as not to dissolve into chaos: crystals, hurricanes, or biological membranes. Here the limit of physical integrity is born (a boundary that, if broken, destroys what it contained) and identity understood as a flame: you exist as long as you consume energy and keep your boundary intact, not as a digital copy.
L2Agency (or Inference)
The moment when a body not only reacts to the impact, but predicts the environment to avoid it. This goes on a continuous gradient from a bacteria looking for sugar to your own mind. At its highest level, this capacity allows you to observe yourself, inject a reflective pause, simulate future scenarios, and veto an automatic impulse before the body executes it. Here agency and control of your actions are born.
L3Coordination
The instant you discover that some elements around you are not mute obstacles, but that they also calculate and predict: they are other agents. Communication, the reading of intentions, and cooperation emerge. Voluntary agreements and mutual respect are not moral commandments fallen from the sky: they are the cheapest and most stable way to coordinate in the long term, avoiding the wear and tear of a war of all against all.
L4Creation
The space of free design: projecting improbable ideas and using matter to shape them. It is the art, the technology, and the institutions we found. In this upper level there are no prefabricated universal blueprints: it is the territory of personal biography and imagination. The only thing the laws of physics demand of you is that you have the necessary energy to sustain what you build.
// From theory to your life

And how is this used?

This map does not seek to give you absolute truths, but to calibrate your daily decisions. It is the blueprint of the terrain. The tools show you how to walk it step by step, and the narratives show you what that experience looks like in real life.
